Toth was recently elected as an Advocate in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). In his congratulatory letter, Charles H. Baumberger, 2016 National President of ABOTA, cited John’s “high personal character, honorable reputation, and proficiency as a trial lawyer” as factors that contributed to his selection.

Founded in 1958, ABOTA is a distinguished body of trial attorneys and judges. Membership is by invitation only. To attain the level of “Advocate,” a candidate must possess a minimum of eight years of active experience as a trial lawyer, with a record of trying at least 50 civil jury trials as lead counsel.

A partner in the Healthcare and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Groups at Sullivan Ward, John has more than 30 years of experience, and has successfully tried over 100 cases to a jury verdict. His practice includes defending and prosecuting matters of professional liability of physicians and medical professionals, and he additionally handles complex commercial litigation cases.
