Partners Christopher McMahon, Todd McConaghy Elected

(December 1, 2023, Southfield, MI) – Leading Michigan law firm Sullivan, Ward, Patton, Gleeson & Felty, P.C., is pleased to announce that partners Christopher B. McMahon and Todd A. McConaghy have been elected to the firm’s Executive Committee:

A member of the firm’s Board of Directors, Christopher B. McMahon is a trial attorney whose practice involves all facets of litigation and commercial transactional matters. He handles complex design, construction, process, and management claims in the construction, utility, power, energy, and oil and gas industries. He additionally devotes a portion of his practice to defending resorts and companies involved in the outdoor recreation and ski industry, as well as personal injury claims and insurance agent error and omission and legal malpractice disputes.

Mr. McMahon is a member of the Association of Ski Defense Attorneys; the State Bar of Michigan, Real Property Law Section - Construction Committee; the American Bar Association, Construction Industry Forum, and the Michigan Defense Trial Lawyers Association. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© (Woodward/White, Inc.) from 2012 through 2021 in the fields of Construction Law, Litigation and Construction and Personal Injury Litigation, Defendants. He also has been awarded the ranking of Michigan “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters each year from 2007 through 2021. Todd A. McConaghy, a Senior Trial Attorney with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, represents healthcare providers and attorneys in matters of professional responsibility and licensing. His clients include hospitals, medical centers, assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, nursing homes, dialysis centers, physicians, physician’s assistants, therapists, nurse practitioners, nurses, certified clinical hemodialysis technicians, physical therapists, certified nursing assistants and attorneys. He provides ethics opinions as well as serves as an expert witness.

Mr. McConaghy previously served as Senior Associate Counsel to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, where he investigated and prosecuted attorney misconduct on behalf of the Michigan Supreme Court. Honored as one of Michigan’s “Leading Lawyers,” he was recently elected Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Grosse Pointe Woods.
